Pathway Program

Educational Opportunities

10% of the population in Mecklenburg County lives in poverty.

Poverty transcends zip codes and town boundaries, affecting thousands of low-income families.
The inaccessibility of education programs emphasizes the need for interventions that support financial stability.

Here's how we help.

We address both adult and child educational needs, leading to significant improvements in household income and stability.

Adult Educational Opportunities

Offer adult evening ESL and HSE classes, with progression to career training or post-secondary programs.

Youth & Teen Educational Opportunities

Provide children with literacy support, tutoring, mentoring, ACT/SAT Prep, and college and career readiness.

Wraparound Services

Address needs that could derail a family’s success by ensuring food security as well as access to financial and transportation assistance, mental health services, and financial literacy workshops.

Mobility Mentoring

Promote self-sufficiency through goal-setting and coaching.

Volunteer with our Pathway Program.

You can make a difference.

We empower families to reach their potential and gain upward economic mobility through powerful educational opportunities.

Our program’s 2Gen framework addresses the educational needs of both parents and children, recognizing that a child’s success is interconnected and interdependent upon the success of the adult(s) in their life.

Program Partners

With this program, participants can have access to essential educational opportunities using a comprehensive 2Generation framework.

We make essential educational opportunities, connections, resources, and support accessible to marginalized North Mecklenburg families to help them gain financial stability and achieve upward mobility.
