Summer is a season of adventure and growth—especially for the kids in our Pathway Program. Every year, our summer enrichment program offers each of our students the chance to attend at least one week at a local summer camp. For many of our families, sending their children to a camp filled with outdoor fun, skill-building, and creative exploration would be out of reach. Thanks to the support of our community, these camp experiences are not only possible, but truly unforgettable.
This summer was packed with discovery! Campers rafted the New River, wrote original songs, spun pottery, explored global art, and dove into STEM – building mini-robots and coding simple games. Every camp invited kids to stretch their minds, try something new, and leave with sharper problem-solving skills (and big smiles).
Behind the scenes, a network of caring partners helped make the magic happen. A local Girl Scout troop donated sunscreen and beach towels for our youngest campers, ensuring they were well-equipped for a week of poolside fun at HFFA. For families needing a little help with transportation, we provided gas cards for trips to UNC Charlotte and uptown Charlotte. These small gestures made a big impact, reminding us that it truly takes a village—and ours stepped up in a big way!

We are incredibly grateful to the Town of Huntersville, Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics, UNC Charlotte, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Davidson College Freedom Schools, Grace Covenant, and the Cain Center for hosting so many creative and engaging camps throughout the Lake Norman area. Their support helped give our kids the chance to try new things, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Our summer enrichment program is a highlight for families and kids alike, offering activity and learning when school is out. With your support, we can keep the fun going next summer—help us fill our kids’ plates with laughter, learning, and unforgettable experiences!
