For one local family, the sense of relief that comes from having secure access to food each day opened the door to a brighter future.
With four children at home and only one parent working full-time at $10/hour, finding $900 to cover monthly rent was an enormous challenge. Then, Zora and her family found Angels & Sparrows. Through the Community Table, they gained reliable access to nutritious meals, fresh produce, and pantry essentials.
Thanks to support from the local community, the constant weight of food insecurity was lifted. With one less crisis to manage, Zora and her family had room to focus on the future. Through the Pathway Program, their sixth-grade daughter received targeted tutoring and academic support, helping her improve her reading by a full grade level this past year.
